Recently, SAZE Software Group has started a department to develop mobile apps for engineers, university professors and university students in structural engineering field.

After changing design methods of AISC and other codes to LRFD, lots of engineers, university professors and students are not familiar with the concepts and relatively complicated formulations of this method yet.

Before this, an engineer or a student could design steel structural elements with receiving help from his memory, some tables and a calculator. After changing code concepts and methods to LRFD the complicated calculations regarding some important criteria of this method could not be done without getting help from computers.

Based on this need, the Plate Girder App is designed, produced and is ready to manipulate complicated calculations of plate girders with symmetrical and unsymmetrical sections based on the LRFD method of AISC.
